Job summary

A successful global business in Northern Ireland is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead finance teams and manage financial reporting. You will work closely with the COO and support strategic decision-making processes. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment. As Group Financial Controller, you’ll be a senior figure within the finance team, working closely with the Group Finance Director and Regional COO to ensure robust reporting, insightful analysis, and operational alignment across the group. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, evolving business where you’ll help shape how finance supports the wider organisation.

The Role:

  • Lead, develop, and support the regional and local Finance teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Work in close partnership with the COO and senior management teams, providing strong financial leadership
  • Prepare and deliver weekly cashflow forecasts and P&L reports to support decision-making
  • Produce monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow statements
  • Present monthly financial performance at business review meetings, clearly explaining key variances against budget and offering meaningful insight into business trends
  • Lead the preparation of budgets and reforecasts in line with Board expectations and timelines
  • Oversee fixed asset reporting and controls across the region
  • Support the Group Finance Director in the timely completion of external audits
  • Champion continuous improvement in finance systems and processes
  • Play a key role in the regional rollout of a new ERP system
  • Provide timely and accurate ad hoc reporting as required by the regional leadership team

The Person:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • At least 4 years experience within industry
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and developing a team
  • Experience in dealing with auditors and external stakeholders
  • Exposure to fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Ability to travel globally once per quarter
