Financial Accountant

Rotherham - £40,000pa - £45,000pa

We are supporting a fantastic client with a brand-new opportunity to join their business as a Financial Accountant.

Successful candidates must be a part qualified Accountant/studying (ACCA,CIMA,ACA).

This opportunity is based on site 5 days a week in Rotherham as it's an extremely hands on role offering a lot of development and progression. Over time there will be more flexibility added to the role.

Responsibilities as a Financial Accountant:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day financial processes and activities
  • Responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and monthly closing activities
  • Cash collection and cash management. Monitor and forecast company cash flow and plan working capital requirements including daily management of Invoice discount facilities.
  • Ensure timely preparation, analysis and reporting of full monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including, accruals, prepayments, Balance Sheet reconciliations, stock analysis and variance analysis.
  • Lead the budgeting process for the entity as per the group guidelines.
  • On-going development of internal controls, processes, and systems to improve efficiency and automation.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and tax reporting requirements.
  • Filing and reconciling VAT returns and payment.
  • Lead annual audit and implement any required recommendations and findings.
Candidates must have extensive years' experience as an Accountant as the role requires high level experience/knowledge and extremely hands on. ERP Systems experience would be beneficial.
