Financial Accountant

Our client is an award-winning manufacturing business and is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to join a successful business and become a key member of staff within the finance department.

The Role

• Prepare month end financial information is completed on time
• Prepare and submit all monthly and quarterly supporting Management accounts
• Complete all Month End account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly forecasts and annual budgets
• Complete all Year End duties
• Co-ordinate the input of all financial data into the company reporting database
• Assist the cost accountants in reviewing existing product costs – including labour, materials and overheads
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external auditors
• Influence financial decisions at key points in the month end timeline
• Train and mentor junior members of the finance team
• Any other ad hoc duties within the finance team

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of 3 (+) years in a senior accounts position
• A fully qualified chartered accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
• Excellent computer skills particularly with Excel
• Good people management skills
• Experience of producing management accounts
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Excellent communication skills
