About The Role

The Financial Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Attivo’s financial reporting across all group entities. The role delivers high-quality internal financial information, leads the preparation of statutory financial statements for individual entities and the consolidated group, and manages the external audit process as the primary point of contact. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant acts as a technical accounting specialist, providing guidance on complex accounting matters, acquisition accounting, and FRS 102 compliance. The role supports strong financial controls, month‑end reporting, tax compliance, covenant reporting, cashflow management, and the oversight of Guernsey entity accounting, contributing to the effective governance and continued growth of the group.

About You

You are an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with a strong commitment to continuous professional development and high technical standards. Well organised and highly detail‑focused, you combine excellent planning and time‑management skills with the ability to work proactively and remain accurate under pressure. You communicate clearly and confidently, with the ability to discuss complex financial and technical accounting matters with the Financial Controller, auditors, and other senior stakeholders. Ideally, you bring experience from a financial services, audit, or accounting practice environment and are comfortable working within a PE‑backed business and supporting FCA reporting requirements. Exposure to tax compliance, statutory reporting, and group accounting is desirable, as is experience using Sage 200 or a similar financial system. You are adaptable, collaborative, and willing to support ad hoc reporting and wider finance initiatives as required.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Maintain and strengthen financial control measures across the group, ensuring all policies, procedures, and reconciliations are consistently followed and regularly reviewed.
  • Work closely with the Management Accountant team to produce the monthly consolidated Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy and completeness, supported by well‑prepared and timely reconciliations.
  • Lead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements for all group entities, including the consolidated set, ensuring full compliance with FRS 102 and incorporating any updates to accounting standards.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing the statutory audit process end‑to‑end. Support the Trainee Financial Accountant in producing audit packs, gathering audit samples, and resolving audit queries promptly.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise.
  • Take responsibility for the accounting of the Guernsey entities, acting as a key liaison with external Guernsey accountants.
  • Act as the main point of contact for group tax advisors, supporting corporation tax compliance activities and ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required information.
  • Support the Financial Controller in the preparation and review of quarterly covenant reporting, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with lender requirements.
  • Contribute to effective cashflow management by preparing timely and accurate cashflow statements and supporting liquidity forecasting and planning.
  • Any ad hoc duties or reporting as required by Financial Controller or CFO.
