Robert Walters - Financial Accountant - Permanent - Hybrid - North Birmingham

Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per annum. Hours: Full time.

Role details

A leading business in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a key role supporting group-level reporting, ensuring accurate consolidation across multiple entities, and managing intercompany reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial results.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in line with reporting deadlines.
  • Own the group consolidation process, including elimination entries and foreign currency adjustments.
  • Lead on intercompany accounting: reconcile balances, resolve mismatches, and ensure timely settlement across entities.
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and support the monthly balance sheet review process.
  • Assist in preparing statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors during year-end.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journals, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices for group accounting and intercompany processes.
