A healthcare organization in York is seeking a Finance Accounting Manager to oversee cash and banking transactions, manage a team, and ensure timely payments to salaries and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in financial accounting, staff management, and proficiency with financial software. This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary band and benefits including generous leave and retirement plans.
The main purpose of this role is to manage the Finance Accounting Team, which looks after the Trust's cash and banking systems. This is a vital role within the Trust as it manages the cash and banking transactions on a daily basis, making sure that the Trust holds adequate funds to pay salaries and suppliers on time. The successful applicant will manage a team of 4, managing the cash and banking transactions and posting the relevant financial journals to Oracle which the Trust uses as its main financial system. The role will also involve reconciling the Balance Sheet control accounts on a monthly basis, and be responsible for signing these off. The role will also involve meeting with external auditors and supplying them with the information as per a request for the Trust cash transactions.
Contract and location: Permanent, full-time role based at Tribune House, Unit 1, Centurion Park, Tribune Way, York YO30 4RY. Band 5, £31,049 to £37,796 per year.

Qualifications
Essential: GCSE Mathematics (Grade A-C) or equivalent; AAT Level 4 or equivalent. Desirable: Progress towards a professional accounting qualification.
