About the role: Charlotte Tilbury are on the hunt for a Finance Shared Services Finance Manager to join the Group Finance team in the newly created shared services function. This role will enhance capabilities in the finance department by driving best practice across the global finance function. It oversees financial operations within a shared services environment, ensuring efficient processes and accurate financial reporting, with responsibilities including general accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, workload streamline, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and compliance. The role provides strategic insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Analyse financial data and trends to provide actionable insights for business decision-making and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and standardisation within the shared services finance function. Implement best practices for finance operations, lead projects to streamline financial processes and systems, and oversee bi-weekly Shared Services-driven system and process updates.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, allocate resources effectively, ensure the team meets key financial deadlines, and ensure adherence to internal controls, policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal customers, provide financial expertise in line with SLAs, act as the point of contact between shared services and other departments, and communicate financial results and KPIs to Head of Finance Shared Services.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies, oversee the audit process, and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
- System & Technology Management: Drive adoption of new technologies, collaborate with IT to ensure system integration and data integrity.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives related to financial processes, tools and systems; support development of the strategic plan for setting up the shared services centre for assigned finance/accounting activities.
- Oversight of Financial Accounting Activities: Maintain clean general ledgers, ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, review allocation and recharge of corporate costs to other entities, and reconcile intercompany charges and balances.
About you
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar are essential
- Experience: Extensive experience in finance or accounting, with significant time in a shared services environment
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage and develop finance teams
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, and advanced Excel
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Project Management: Experience in managing projects and implementing process improvements
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and departments
