We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our amazing team at Blackheath in South East London, to take responsibility for timely and accurate processing of the staff payroll at the hospital, in collaboration with our central payroll team as well as supporting the Senior Management team with all other finance duties.

Blackheath is a 36 bed centre providing specialist person-centred rehabilitation, care and support for adults with either a brain injury or other complex neurological condition. We provide comprehensive assessment, rehabilitation and therapy and specialise in the treatment of patients with a primary cognitive or behavioural impairment resulting from a brain injury or other neurological condition.

What you\'ll be working
  • 37.5 hours per week.
  • Fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
  • Monday to Friday 09:00am to 17:00pm.
What you\'ll be doing

As Finance Officer you will:

  • Previous experience in a Finance role
  • AAT preferred but not essential with relevant experience
  • Input all employee payroll data and records and maintain those records
  • Liaise with HR to resolve all payroll issues including leavers
  • Respond to any payroll-related questions or concerns employees might have and liaise with departmental managers as necessary
  • Receive, log and code purchase invoices and be point of contact for supplier queries
  • Submit invoice batches to Accounts Payable Head Office
  • Maintain Income Processing system
  • Responsible for timely and accurate processing of the staff payroll ready for submission to the payroll bureau for batch processing and submission of all returns by due date to HMRC
  • As a member of the finance team the post holder will also contribute to the efficient and effective work of the finance department
  • Patient Allowance & Social Funds total reconciliation (incl bank)
  • Petty Cash total reconciliation (incl bank)
