Job summary

A leading financial management firm in London is seeking an experienced finance professional to own financial reporting and manage audit processes. You will ensure compliance with accounting standards and collaborate with the CFO on strategic initiatives. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications

  • Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliations.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process.
Job description
Full Ownership of Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards.
  • Deliver financial analysis and performance commentary to senior leadership.
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting, modelling, commentary and variance analysis for UK and US entities.
Operational Finance
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable (including invoice management and payment runs), bank reconciliations, payroll coordination and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Maintain the general ledger, posting journals.
  • Oversee cash management, cost allocations and treasury functions.
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures.
Audit Management and Regulatory Reporting
  • Prepare annual financial statements.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of the annual audit process.
  • Ensure timely delivery of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to audit queries.
  • Implement recommendations and improvements arising from audit findings.
  • Prepare regulatory filings (FCA, HMRC, Companies House).
Systems & Process Development
  • Implement and optimise accounting systems, processes and reporting tools.
  • Drive automation and efficiency across finance operations.
General
  • Partner with the CFO and leadership team on strategic initiatives and business planning, where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments as necessary.
  • Contribute to ensuring Serone remains a great place to work.
