Job description

Elite Talent Resourcing have been engaged by a leading provider in the Plumbing industry to source aFinance Managerfor their office based in Crick on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to Commercial Finance Director, this is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to take ownership for the finance support and challenge to the Sales Board through provision of business insight and KPI analysis in order to drive an improvement in their performance. You will support the leadership teams to maximise opportunities and mitigate business risk. You will have regular exposure to board level stakeholders and have excellent visibility within the business.

Main duties and responsibilities for the Finance Manager:

  • Key finance role working alongside the Sales Director and his leadership team to ensure they deliver business growth.
  • Work together with both finance and non-finance teams in supporting and advising in the strategic operationaldecision making that drives better business decision making.
  • responsible for ensuring financial update and challenge in all monthly and quarterly board meetings, the link between the operations team and finance function.
  • The Finance Manager will take complete responsibility for providing insight and challenge to the sales team to drive improvement in both sales and margin performance.
  • Drive best practice in controls within the sales team ensuring compliance to internal controls and recommend changes to reduce risk.
  • Accountable for providing Insight on Customer Behaviour as well as improved MI to the Sales Board.
  • Responsible for the delivery of core finance processes, such as budget and forecasts.
  • The Finance Managers role, as required, will also provide the financial leadership to both division wide programmes and projects along with finance development projects.
  • Lead the development of a BI tool to provide the sales team management information to make better decisions.
  • Actively driving the finance team and agenda forward
  • Lead develop and mentor your direct reports as well as the wider finance team within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal Finance Manager:

  • You will need to have confidence in your ability to enable you to build strong relationships with the salesteams, working with your team to turn data into insight to drive the business forward
  • Advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field; with several years of experience in a finance role
  • Superior mathematical skills;
  • Leadership skills and experience
  • Employee management;
  • Understanding of data privacy standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Public speaking skills; deep understanding of business principles and practices
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills with multi-tasking abilities
  • Research and analytical and problem-solving skills
