JOB - Finance Manager
LOCATION - Newcastle
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £40,000 to £50,000 per annum (plus benefits)

My client is a growing SME looking to strengthen their finance function. They are seeking a Finance Manager to support the business in automating financial processes and transitioning to Xero Accounting Software, based in Newcastle.

Responsibilities
  • Managing all financial aspects of the business, including monthly reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Transitioning the company’s accounting systems to Xero
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
  • Supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making
  • Working closely with operations to streamline financial processes
  • Managing external accountants, auditors, and other financial advisors
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience
  • Experience in SME finance management, including reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Familiarity with accounting software and experience transitioning systems, ideally to Xero
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and automation opportunities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with non-finance stakeholders
  • Proactive and hands-on approach, comfortable implementing process improvements
