A leading healthcare provider in Greater London is seeking a CCAB Qualified Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management experience and be adept at delivering accurate monthly performance reports. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated CCAB Qualified Accountant to join the finance team. We are looking for a driven individual who is self-motivated, pro-active and with excellent planning and organisational skills. The post holder is required to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The post holder will support the Head of Finance (HoF) and Deputy Head of Finance (DHOF) to deliver all aspects of the service area (hospital site, clinical support services or corporate areas) financial management. He/she will manage a team of accountants to provide day to day support in all aspects of the service area’s financial performance and business partnering whilst maintaining an excellent team ethic.
To manage the delivery of accurate and timely monthly performance reports for presentation at business unit Board meetings. There will be a requirement to support the reported performance with an analytical review and to influence actions based upon findings.

The post holder will support the Head of Finance (HoF) to deliver all aspects of the service area (hospital site, clinical support services or corporate areas) financial management. He/she will manage a team of accountants to provide day to day support in all aspects of the financial performance and business partnering whilst maintaining an excellent team ethic. He/she will be a senior member of the Financial Management and service area teams, demonstrating expert accounting and business knowledge, analytical support and clear presentation of highly complex or contentious financial and business information to clinical and non-clinical colleagues. He/she will constructively and positively challenge all aspects of service area financial and business performance and financial management processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Through a team of accountants the post holder is required to manage the delivery of accurate and timely monthly performance reports for agreement with the HoF for presentation at service area board meetings and to feed into the Trust position for internal and external corporate reporting. There will be a requirement to support the reported performance with an analytical review and to influence actions based upon these findings. The post holder will oversee the preparation of robust forecasts to be agreed with the HoF. This will include supporting the planning and monitoring of mitigating actions. They will deputise for the Associate Head of Finance or Deputy Head of Finance in his or her absence, and attend and present financial information at Specialty and Service area performance reviews. Specialist knowledge of reporting, payment by results, reference costs and revenue consequences of capital will be required to assist in the delivery of high quality comprehensive reports. He/she must have a recognised CCAB or equivalent qualification, have significant experience in roles within financial management and be fully committed to continuous professional development.
