About the team

This role has responsibility for a small team of finance professionals based both in UK and offshore covering a wide remit of responsibilities (detailed below). Also works closely with the wider finance group within FIS to support timely reporting of financial information. This role is also part of a local management team with responsibility for overseeing the successful day to day running of the business.

Overview of the role
Month end reporting
  • Prepare and maintain the master month end file including pulling reports from Oracle and updating for latest forecasts.
  • Analysing the different entity P&Ls to make sure they are all correct and management charges are flowing correctly.
  • Month end commentary and work with FIS accounting teams to understand variances
  • Pull together month end pack for executive team and present results.
  • Prepare intercompany schedule for review.
  • Ensure the billing in respect of corporate clients is accurate and timely.
  • Work with the Operational finance team to ensure balance sheet accuracy and timely reporting of any exposures.
Forecast
  • Own the budgeting and forecasting process and provide regular updates working across PSL operational and management teams.
  • Work directly with group finance to provide timely updates and fully reconcile between local Vs group forecasts.
Modelling
  • Coordinate, prepare and review financial models which could include vendors, new business prospects & current clients repricing opportunities.
  • Work with sales to produce rate cards for new prospects.
Regulatory
  • Own the annual regulatory ICARA process and ensure appropriate levels of capital and liquidity exist in the business.
  • Review monthly financial adequacy assessments.
  • Own the fixed overhead requirement process linked to wind down planning.
  • Review and submit quarterly regulatory reporting to the FCA
Audit
  • Work with the internal and external audit teams and manage the successful delivery of the annual statutory audit for the group.
Team management
  • Weekly team meetings and monthly 1-2-1s
  • Goals and mid and year end reviews
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve agreed goals and targets.
Other general responsibilities include
  • Develops, leads, manages and motivates staff. Monitors staff performance, works with TPO on issues, works with employees to implement goals and document progress.
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies.
  • Ensures accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of data.
  • Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure efficient operations.
  • Identifies areas of potential improvement.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.
