We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Finance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, driving process improvements, and supporting decision-making across the business.

This role is at the heart of our finance function, working closely with senior leadership, the purchase ledger team, and other internal departments to ensure strong financial controls, insightful reporting, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with clear commentary on performance.
  • Manage P&L, prepayments, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Complete revenue and cost reconciliations, payroll reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Produce accurate KPI reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) underpinning commission structures.
  • Conduct variance analysis of actuals vs. budgets/forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Manage VAT analysis, preparation, and submission.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain risks and opportunities schedules.
  • Work closely with finance providers and auditors, ensuring timely submissions and compliance.
  • Support annual budget preparation, reforecasts, and the year-end audit process.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements to finance processes and controls.
  • Lead, manage, and support members of the finance team - setting priorities, overseeing day-to-day tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for junior team members, conducting regular check-ins and performance reviews.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture, aligned to business objectives.
Person Specification
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or QBE.
  • Proven experience in management accounting and financial control.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Able to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively.
  • Confident decision-maker, using data and facts to drive outcomes.
  • Previous experience in the automotive sector would be an advantage.
  • A natural leader with line management experience, able to motivate and develop a team.
