The business currently has facilities in Gloucester UK (Factory 1), Bristol UK (Hardware R&D Centre) and in Athens GR (Software R&D Centre). As our Finance Director, you will be pivotal in ensuring the optimal deployment of capital, while maintaining iCOMAT's best-in-class capital efficiency. You will implement financial processes and controls, manage day-to-day financial operations and partner with the MD and CEO to drive iCOMAT's financial strategy and steer company growth. This position offers a unique blend of strategic oversight and hands-on management for a forward-thinking finance leader.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with iCOMAT's growth objectives, supporting the overall business vision.
- Financial Management: Establish appropriate processes and controls, ensuring effective management of cash flow.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Performance Analysis: Drive profitability by analysing financial data, identifying trends, and implementing recommendations to maximise capital efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
- Oversee and review all Management Account packs, offering insights into the financial performance of projects.
- Maintain and review Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Payroll, and General Ledger entries.
- Prepare audit packs and liaise with auditors for a smooth and transparent auditing process.
- Create comprehensive company reports for investors and maintain adherence to both national and international financial, tax and statutory requirements and regulations.
- Proven Financial Leadership: Demonstrated experience as a Finance Director or similar senior role in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally within manufacturing or technology.
- Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Leadership Skills: Proven success in building and leading high-performing teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Communication Skills: Strong communicator, adept at engaging effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics; ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to perform well under pressure, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
