Role Overview

The Finance Business Partner leads a team within the Business Management function supporting contracts of work and their customers financially in a rapidly changing, growing, and fast‑paced environment. The role is accountable for the accuracy and transparency of all financial aspects within a portfolio area working alongside the Programme function and supporting several contracts simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Lead within the Business Management function, collaborating with all areas of the business to ensure Project Finance remains engaged and delivers with the current and future landscapes in mind.
  • Support the Leadership team with guidance from the OU Business Finance Manager to provide analysis that directly influences Programme and business decisions.
  • Take ownership of assigned Account(s) and Programme(s) ensuring effective, accurate, and timely management information is available including any Internal and Customer reporting requirements.
  • Perform frequent financial reviews at project level to ensure correct revenue recognition and forecasting of FP contracts and EACs are performed in line with NG policy.
  • Maintain full awareness of the Programme(s) invoicing and cash positions, unbilled balances backlog and de‑booking requirements, and work with the teams to ensure the status is acceptable.
  • Responsible for pricing organic and existing contractual scope requirements (change orders agreed to T&M Frameworks) and provide support to the Pricing function for larger complex strategic opportunities.
