Overview

Finance Business Partner – Colwick, Nottingham. Onsite – Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00. Competitive salary + Company benefits + Career growth.

We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be a trusted advisor, providing strategic financial support and insights to operational leaders and other departments, such as Business Development and Procurement. As the bridge between Finance and Operations, you\'ll use your commercial expertise to translate complex financial concepts for non-financial colleagues, enabling better decision-making and driving improved financial results.

This company is one of the leading providers of Environmental and Sustainability solutions to a wide range of industries across the UK and Ireland. Primarily centred around Waste Management, they are expanding rapidly in Resource Recovery and Circular Economy, ensuring nothing truly goes to waste. They lead key Ireland/UK sustainability projects as they look to recycle more materials ranging from Metals, Plastics and Oil through to Hazardous Waste and identifying ways to utilise these to create clean energy and fully recycled products.

Role Responsibilities
  • Review financial processes across Colwick and the wider business sites, providing best guidance and ensuring the financial performance required of the business.
  • Perform financial forecasting by reviewing weekly forecasts covering revenue and costs and delivering month-end support of the business month-end process, including reviewing data, managing debts, and ensuring progress on invoice queries.
  • Perform reviews and continuous improvement duties to maintain ongoing standards of the business.
  • Assist the Senior Finance Business Partner with budgeting, trend analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with stakeholders, confidently influencing and challenging where necessary to drive performance improvements.
What We Are Looking For
  • AAT qualified or QBE (Qualified by Experience).
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration abilities, engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Possess strong analytical and commercial acumen, with advanced Excel skills and a track record of delivering actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
