Job summary

A specialist consulting firm in Bristol seeks a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant to take ownership of practice finances and support management decisions. The role includes managing month-end accounting and partnering with practice managers. Ideal candidates will have strong accounting skills and experience in business partnering, with a focus on accuracy and detail. This is a permanent position with a hybrid working pattern.

Qualifications

  • British nationality is required.
  • Experience in finance support is essential.
  • Comfortable liaising with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with practice managers to monitor performance and productivity.
  • Manage month-end accounting including reconciliations and adjustments.
  • Support the finance team with budgets, audits, and project work.

Salary and rewards

Up to £50,000

What you will be doing
  • Partner with practice managers to monitor performance, productivity and returns
  • Manage month‑end accounting including reconciliations, adjustments and commentary
  • Review overhead bookings, accruals and prepayments for accuracy
  • Support wider finance team with budgets, audits and project work

  • Business partnering experience within a finance environment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines
  • Comfortable liaising with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
Where you will be based

Bristol, hybrid working pattern with occasional travel to other UK offices
