We are seeking a highly skilled and forward‑thinking Finance Automation Specialist to lead the transformation of manual finance processes using Microsoft Power Platform tools. This role will be pivotal in designing, developing, and deploying intelligent automation solutions that streamline workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, and future‑proof operations through AI integration.
The successful candidate will work closely with qualified accountants and finance stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, build scalable solutions, and embed Microsoft Copilot and other AI capabilities into the finance tech stack.

What you’ll do

• Solution Development: Build and maintain custom applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model‑Driven), automate workflows with Power Automate, and develop dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• AI Integration: Leverage Microsoft Copilot and other AI tools to enhance automation logic, improve user experience, and ensure future scalability.
• Process Optimisation: Collaborate with finance teams to identify inefficiencies and design automation strategies that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy as well as control environment improvements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with accountants and finance leads to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals. Be able to communicate clearly to non technical members of the team.
• Governance & Documentation: Maintain best practices for solution architecture, data security, and compliance. Document workflows and provide training to end users.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Power Platform updates, AI trends, and finance transformation strategies to continuously improve solution effectiveness.

What you’ll bring

• Extensive expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI ideally within a finance or enterprise environment, with demonstrable work of implemented solutions which interact with other applications.
• Strong automation skills and mindset, with experience and success, building complex automations in a business environment.
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse) and external APIs.
• Strong understanding of AI capabilities in Microsoft Copilot and their application in workflow automation as well integration, with experience designing and implementing Copilot Studio solutions in delivered projects.
• Familiarity with finance processes such as reconciliations, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and stakeholder management skills, especially with qualified accountants.
• Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL‑100, PL‑200, PL‑400) are highly essential.
• Experience in mentoring colleagues in a distributed knowledge model, delivering coaching and training on automation and other techniques.
