Job Overview

To work within the Group Finance Team to provide comprehensive financial advice to Service and Specialty managers, enable the achievement of financial balance and contribute to the business planning process and service developments.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Finance Manager in the provision of financial and management information to the team.
  • Assist in ensuring accurate monthly financial reports are distributed to managers to enable timely decision‑making.
  • Maintain the system for the control of establishments, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution of establishment and vacancy information.
  • Assist with the preparation, completion and input of specific monthly expenditure journals to pay, non‑pay, income and other transfers as required, in line with the agreed monthly reporting timetable.
  • Assist in the collection of relevant data to ensure accurate forecasts can be established for monthly reporting.
Qualifications and Training

This role provides a stepping‑stone into an NHS finance career, offering the opportunity to study for an AAT qualification and then progress to a Professional Accountancy qualification through the apprenticeship levy route.

Previous experience in finance, accounting or a related field is preferred. AAT qualification or progress towards one is an advantage.
