The EMEA Central Planning team is responsible for region‑wide financial consolidation, reporting and analysis of all planning cycles (AOP and all forecast cycles). The team provides direct support to the overall EMEA management team, working very closely with the Disney Entertainment Planning team in the US, as well as all LOBs and Markets across the EMEA region.

This is an office‑based role: 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

What You Will Do
Delivery
  • Generate cost reports using finance and accounting systems to provide accurate data for use by Central Planning team and the cost centre leads for forecasts, budget and quarter close.
  • Take responsibility for regular quarterly activities to ensure effective financial administration and cost management, including preparing and regularly updating cost templates, quarter‑end close tasks, journals and accruals, working closely with specific shared functions (including but not limited to Legal & Sourcing) to ensure effective delivery of forecasts, budgets and close, reviewing and consolidating EMEA market Entertainment & Sports submissions, standardising and automating cost reporting wherever possible, and reviewing specific cost centres to identify issues, opportunities and possible solutions and flagging them to the wider team or business partners as appropriate.
Business Partnering
  • Work directly with cost centre leads to provide financial support and accurate reporting.
  • Engage with EMEA markets for accurate and timely submission of reporting templates.
  • Assist more senior colleagues, within or outside of the immediate team, in preparing presentations to communicate clear financial messages to the business.
  • Ad hoc work as required.
Management
  • Manage end‑to‑end processes in support of planning cycles.
  • Provide robust, timely and accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.
  • Use technology to automate wherever possible and drive better results.
  • Tailor messages appropriately to the audience.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • Part or newly qualified accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA etc.).
  • An understanding of financial planning and analysis, and experience of working in a similar role within the Media sector would be highly desirable.
  • Experience working with financial IT systems, with strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience of working with and providing financial support to operational and commercial teams.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Exposure within financial modelling and analysis.
  • Experienced with template creation and consolidation.
  • Numerate and analytical with a desire to think through and resolve problems.
  • Results‑focused and outcome driven.
