We’re looking for someone with great energy, clear communication, and a passion for guiding others. No need to be a finance expert - we’ll teach you the rest.
Our offices are located in Uffcott, Wroughton near Swindon, easily accessible from Junctions 15 and 16 on the M4. This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) and a hybrid position, with on-site presence to be agreed. Occasional travel to client sites and UK-wide conferences will be required.

Deliver clear, friendly, and practical training sessions on both our financial and administrative software, helping users feel confident in their daily tasks.
Provide refresher training and ongoing support to ensure clients continue to get the most from our systems.
Support clients with Year‑End accounts preparation and general data entry tasks when needed (sometimes on‑site).
Offer approachable guidance on general practices within the scope of our software solutions.
Keep our training materials, workbooks, and user manuals up to date with each new software release.
Learn how our finance and administration systems work together, and be able to explain this clearly to clients.
Provide support for our software when office‑based, assisting users with queries and troubleshooting.
Represent the company at conferences and events, promoting our software and services in a positive and professional way.
Carry out other related tasks as required to support the team and our clients.
We are seeking a motivated, commercially astute Sales Manager who embodies our values (harriscomputer.com) and brings both strategic thinking and hands‑on leadership to the role. You will thrive in a collaborative, customer‑focused environment and be excited to contribute to a passionate, close‑knit team.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal. A patient, friendly, and logical approach is essential for engaging with customers professionally, whether in person or via Teams.
Basic numeracy and financial awareness – a general understanding of finance is helpful, but full training will be provided. Prior experience in finance reporting is a plus.
Computer literacy – confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good Excel skills are particularly valuable.
Process‑oriented mindset – comfortable working within established office procedures and helping to manage them efficiently.
Familiarity with finance software – experience with tools like Sage Accounts, Xero, or similar is beneficial but not essential.
Administrative support for company accounts – able to assist with inputting, managing, and delivering financial data under guidance.
Team player with initiative – able to work independently when needed, while also contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Sector experience (desirable) – previous work in local government or a software business is advantageous but not required.
