Job description
About Us

We are a London-based communications agency working exclusively in the International Development sector. Our clients include UN agencies, international NGOs and foundations tackling some of the world’s most pressing challenges – from humanitarian response and climate change to health, education and human rights.

Film sits at the heart of how we tell these stories. We believe powerful, thoughtful visual storytelling can shape narratives, influence policy, and amplify voices that are too often unheard.

The Role

We’re looking for a multi-disciplinary Filmmaker / Content Producer to join our creative team. This is not a narrow “editor-only” or “camera-only” role. We’re looking for someone with the mindset of an independent filmmaker and the professionalism of an agency creative – someone who can think strategically, work autonomously, and collaborate confidently with clients and colleagues.

You’ll work across a wide range of projects and formats, from fast-turnaround 30-second social videos to 10-minute mini-documentaries. Some projects will involve international travel and filming on location; others will involve remotely directing local crews, scripting narratives, or crafting films from existing B-roll and stock footage.

Alongside client work, you’ll also collaborate with our communications team to create branded content for our own social channels and website.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Shooting, directing and producing films on location (UK and international)
  • Editing a wide range of deliverables, from short-form social content to longer documentary pieces
  • Developing creative concepts, scripts and treatments in collaboration with clients and internal teams.
  • Managing projects end-to-end: planning, production, post-production and delivery
  • Working with and remotely directing local film crews and fixers when filming internationally
  • Shaping strong visual narratives using existing footage, archives and stock
  • Creating branded content for the agency’s own channels as part of our communications and soft marketing strategy
  • Balancing creative ambition with timelines, budgets and client expectations
  • Helping us win more film work through leading client pitches and excellent client management
A Unique Creative Opportunity

As part of our commitment to nurturing filmmakers, this role actively encourages you to pursue documentary projects aligned with our values. Selected projects will be executive produced by the agency, giving you space to develop your voice, build your portfolio, and create work that genuinely matters.

Who We’re Looking For

You might come from an agency, production company, NGO, or freelance background. What matters most is your mindset and versatility.

You are
  • A self-starter with the solution-focused mentality of an independent filmmaker
  • Very comfortable wearing multiple hats: Producer, Director, Camera Operator, Editor and Creative
  • Experienced working with clients and managing larger, multi-stakeholder projects
  • Comfortable travelling to remote locations
  • Confident shooting and editing, with a strong visual and narrative sensibility
  • Organised, calm under pressure, and able to juggle multiple projects
  • Passionate about documentary filmmaking and global issues
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience shooting and editing video (documentary and/or branded content)
  • Highly proficient in professional editing software - DaVinci Resolve & Premier pro
  • Have strong experience with the Adobe After Effects
  • Excellent camera, sound and lighting skills
  • Experience working with clients or stakeholders
  • Strong storytelling, scripting and editorial judgement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Good communication skills and sensitivity when working in multicultural environments
Desirable
  • Experience working in international development, humanitarian or social impact sectors
  • Experience managing productions remotely
  • Motion graphics or basic animation skills
  • Experience with using a drone to film
  • Experience filming in challenging or low-resource environments
Why Work With Us
  • We’re honest: this sector isn’t the highest paying. But what we offer is rare.
  • The chance to work on content that has real-world impact
  • Access to meaningful stories and extraordinary people around the world
  • Support and mentorship as a creative and filmmaker
  • Space to develop personal documentary projects with agency backing
  • A collaborative, values-driven team that cares deeply about the work we make
