What you’ll be doing

This role will see you working with primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities to deliver curriculum‑linked activities that will increase students' understanding of nature and the environment. Your day‑to‑day will include developing, planning, and delivering courses in outdoor teaching sites to students on science and geography school trips. This will involve leading groups of all abilities in the local environment, ensuring you always have the health and safety of the group in mind. When you are not working in the field, you will also be happy to contribute to other aspects of working in a busy education centre. This is a very active role; some weeks will be long and tiring, but our tutors find this work very rewarding, and we promise you will too! Follow this link to meet our Senior Tutor, Pippa. Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject and some previous experience of teaching or tutoring.
  • Confident with producing and preparing various learning resources.
  • A great work ethic where aptitude and attitude are key.

  • A flexible and adaptive approach able to perform using your own initiative both independently and as a team player.

Contract & Hours

Fixed‑term contract until 31 October 2026 in the first instance.

Full‑time – average 37.5 hours per week. Weekly hours will vary across the year, with more during busy periods and fewer in quieter weeks.

  • Circa £27,350 per annum + excellent benefits, including generous annual leave and life assurance 5 × your salary.
