Job summary

A machinery manufacturer based in Wymondham is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform maintenance and repairs on plant machinery. The ideal candidate should have experience with hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems. This full-time position offers a salary of £30,000-£45,000 with excellent benefits including 30 days annual leave, overtime pay, and comprehensive training. Qualifications

The Client

Interaction Technical has partnered with a direct manufacturer of plant machinery. Our client, established for over 40 years, is looking to onboard & train engineers from plant, HGV, Automotive or Agricultural backgrounds to the team. They offer a comprehensive training scheme & relative internal progression routes.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working in the Plant (essential)

  • Electrical and/or Mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience
  • A desire to lead, manage and grow a team of your own
  • Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (essential)
  • Full UK Drivers License
Responsibilities
  • Travel to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose complex technical issues and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and provide expert recommendations
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices
  • Keep detailed records of service activities, parts used, and work completed for accurate reporting
  • Communicate effectively with the in-house engineering team to provide feedback and improve product performance
