Hiab is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain, service and repair Hiab and third-party equipment. You will provide a good level of customer service through product knowledge and customer interaction.

Location: Northallerton, UK, covering North England.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Complete all service, repair, warranty and inspection jobs allocated daily, to a high quality standard
  • Build strong rapport and relationships with customers, through professional behaviour and customer-focused mindset
  • Respond to routine enquiries from customers about the technical aspects of the organisation’s products and services
  • Complete all job related paperwork in an accurate and timely manner to ensure correct invoicing to the customer
  • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve standard technical problems that arise, ensure ongoing customer satisfaction
  • Develop skills and knowledge of the organisation’s products and service
  • Carry out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions and in compliance with the company\'s safety rules / procedures and with regulations and codes of practice
  • Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents / incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events as required
What you’ll need to succeed

Ideally, you have proven ability to develop and manage customer relationships. You are a quality-oriented professional skilled in flexibility and adaptability.

Education:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering qualifications

Working experience:

  • Experienced multi-skilled Engineer
  • Experience in mechanical, hydraulic or electrical operations

Competence and skills:

  • Excellent customer-focused approach, with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter, who is enthusiastic and driven
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Driving Licence holder
