Job description
Role: Field Service Engineer
Location: Bedfordshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire
Shifts: Mon – Fri – 40 hour week paid door to door, OT paid at 1.5x
Salary: £39,000 base, Plus van and car OTE £50-55,000
The Company

ATA Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established company over 50 years old turning over multi million pounds on an annual basis across the UK servicing the majority of their clients however they do have a handful of contracts based across Europe. Servicing specific machinery in multiple industries across the board their main product is in FMCG environment.

They are looking for a Field service Engineer to join the business and help support the south region specifically between Bedfordshire and Berkshire with everything else in the middle. Reporting into the Service Manager and joining a team of coordinators and 16 engineers spread across the UK with their specific regions.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer you will:

  • Be attending client sites in your local region servicing and responding to any problems the customer may face
  • Performing PPMs, Project work and installation work across the South and potentially covering a further area with annual leave etc
  • Working on a variety of kit including; Vessel and Silo weighing systems, Platform and bench scales, Check weighers, Temp controllers, metal detectors and more
  • Be working electrically and mechanically depending on the need of each specific client
  • Be working in various environments so need to be a swiss army knife and comfortable in different environments
The Candidate
  • An Engineer with a recognised electrical qualification
  • A strong communicator who will be comfortable attending company sites and be professional in representing the company
  • Someone who will be comfortable working individually when it is needed
  • Ideally experience in FMCG or a manufacturing environment
Salary and benefits
  • An annual salary between £35,000 – 39,000
  • An OTE of £50,000 – 55,000 due to being paid door to door and overtime paid generously
