Field Service Engineer (280jc) – Grimsby & Surrounding Areas - £31 – 38k (DOE) + Benefits

Are you a former military technician, mechanic, or engineer looking for a role that values your discipline, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently?

A global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment is looking for Field Service Engineers to join their team in Grimsby, Immingham, and Lincoln — and they’re particularly keen to recruit from armed forces veterans.

This is a role where your military engineering background is genuinely recognised. If you’ve worked with vehicle platforms, plant equipment, armoury, REME workshops, Royal Engineers kit, MT sections, or similar — your experience is highly transferable.

The Role

You’ll work across a wide range of material-handling equipment — from pallet trucks to VNA trucks and automated systems. Your day-to-day will include :

• Diagnosing and repairing faults
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Servicing forklifts and other lifting equipment on customer sites
• Carrying out safety checks (oil, fuel, hoses, steering, brakes, electrics)
• Providing clear, confident customer communication
• Upholding the company’s reputation as a professional and reliable engineer

• Strong mechanical engineering background (military experience highly regarded)
