Where will you be working?

At M Group Telecom, we’re enabling and enhancing telecom networks, playing a lead role in the delivery of our tech enabled future. We deliver full network cycle services for fixed, private and mobile operators. This role will be within our Fixed networks team.

About the Team

You’ll join our people who support providing turnkey solutions for the surveying, designing, building and commissioning new networks, while supporting the repair, maintenance and operation of existing networks.

What will you be doing?

We are looking for a Field Supervisor who experienced in poling to join our Telecoms Division. This role is about leading teams on site and making sure work is carried out safely and to a high standard. You will be the point of contact for our teams, the public, and our clients. You will help keep projects moving and make sure everyone understands what needs to happen.

Your day will include meeting asset owners on site to agree permission for digging. You will check work while it is in progress and carry out audits after it is complete. You will also take on some surveying tasks to help work flow smoothly. This role needs someone who can stay calm, solve problems, and speak clearly with different people.

What you’ll bring

You will have a strong understanding of the Openreach telecoms network and how it operates. Your knowledge will include poling and overhead systems, and you will be confident in applying this expertise on site. This experience will help you guide teams and make sure work is carried out safely and to the right standard.

You will also bring an ability to learn and adapt. If you do not already hold an NRASWA Supervisor Card, you will be willing to work towards it. We value commitment to development and will support you in gaining this qualification.

Your approach will be practical and clear. You will be able to explain technical matters in a way that others understand. You will be comfortable working with different people, including clients, asset owners, and members of the public.
