Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to oversee fibre build operations for our client, Openreach. This job will be starting from Bristol, and covering the Bristol and Avonmouth area. This role involves ensuring the successful delivery of fibre projects by achieving targets set by the client, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering strictly to health and safety regulations. The successful candidate will support the Flex Manager in project execution and supervise flex and splicing crews across multiple locations, ensuring smooth on-site operations and consistent progress in line with project goals.

Responsibilities
  • Accurate reporting of build progress to the Flex Manager and Project Manager
  • Attend meetings (mainly online via teams) with internal and external stakeholder
  • Ensuring the build is completed in a cost effective manner
  • Ensuring all engineer accreditations are kept up to date relevant to the job role
  • Daily engagement with sub contractor crews to ensure THP build programme is met
  • 2x quality and health & safety checks a week on the on site sub contractors
  • Ensure correct quality standards are met at all times during build stage
  • Completing A55s for any reactive works
  • Cross referencing job packs with survey returns
  • Ensure timely and accurate flow of information between the planner and sub contractors
  • Ensuring all client or MJ Quinn defects are rectified within SLA
Experience And Skills
  • Essential fibre build experience with good knowledge of ISIS documentation
  • Good knowledge of fibre network configuration
  • Essential Openreach network experience
  • Desirable previous supervisory experience
  • Essential strong written, verbal communication skills
  • Essential computer literacy knowledge/skills, working with excel, outlook and Microsoft teams
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Strong time keeping skills
Qualifications
  • Desirable N23 accreditation
  • Essential smart awards card (NOPS) with SA001 and SA002 qualifications
  • Desirable NRSWA supervisor streetworks card
