As a Support Worker, you will make a real difference to people's lives as you improve their daily living skills. Passionate about people, you will enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too, as you gain the experience and training you need to progress with us.
You will be working in one of our supported living facilities in Barnsley or supporting people with mental health needs in their own home or local community. Our services offer support for adults with Learning Disabilities and individuals with mental health needs. We tailor our support to enable people to be as independent as possible.
We use a digital social care record system, to support daily recording, which will make your day-to-day tasks easier and allows you to spend more time with the People We Support.
The service offers support to individuals living in their own homes in local communities therefore you will have a base. Support workers need to be outgoing, be able to use their own initiative and work as part of a team. The job is very rewarding enabling individuals to reach their full potential.
What are we looking for in a Support worker? We would like you to have a flexible approach to the role, be able to work a full range of shift patterns including 7am starts till 5pm then a 5pm sleep in till between 7am and 10am the next morning.
