Job summary

A local care organization in Ponteland is seeking a caring and reliable Personal Carer to support a 15-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. This rewarding role involves help with daily routines, personal care, and mobility support, alongside providing companionship. Ideal candidates will be kind and trustworthy, with a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided, and driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle is preferred. This position offers 30 hours of work each week, with a pay rate of £15.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care setting desired but not essential.
  • Must feel confident driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Helping with personal care.
  • Supporting mobility and transfers.
  • Helping with daily activities and routines.
  • Offering companionship and encouragement.

  • Working in a small team alongside parents.
  • Attending hospital appointments.
  • Some light household cleaning.

The Role
