Nurse Team Leader

Pay:

  • £22 per hour – Monday to Friday, Day shift 08:00‑20:00
  • £24 per hour – Monday to Friday, Waking Night shift 20:00‑08:00
  • £24 per hour – Weekends & Bank Holidays, Day shift 08:00‑20:00
  • £25 per hour – Weekends & Bank Holidays, Waking Night shift 20:00‑08:00

Hours: Full‑time, approximately 40‑42 hours per week, with flexible day shifts available.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver safe, effective nursing care in Verity’s home and in the community.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of Support Workers, ensuring high standards of care.
  • Provide clinical interventions including PEG feeding, suctioning, respiratory kuna, catheter care and pressure care.
  • Monitor Verity’s health and respond to changes with timely interventions.
  • Support Verity with personal care, communication and social activities.
  • Work admissibly with Verity’s family, case manager and multidisciplinary team, including therapists.
  • Maintain care records, update care plans, manage rotas, supervise staff and oversee training and development.
  • Bring clinical expertise, warmth and strong leadership to Verity’s daily life and to support her care team.

Support Worker

Pay:

  • £13.65 per hour – Monday to Friday uwagę, Day shift 08:00‑20:00
  • £15.00 per hour – Monday to Friday, Waking Night shift 20:00‑08:00
  • £15.00 per hour – Weekends, Day shift 08:00‑20:00
  • £16.00 per hour – Weekends, Waking Night shift 20:00‑08:00
  • National Minimum/Woman Wage during sleeping nights 10:00‑07:00, Monday‑Sunday.

Hours: Permanent part‑time, shifts across 2‑week rolling rota. Shifts range 3‑10+ hours and may include days and Waking Nights. Shadow shifts arranged for day shifts prior to night shifts.

Requirements:

  • Driving licence – automatic, required to operate Verity’s wheelchair‑adapted vehicle.
  • Experience required for Waking Night shifts; experience not required for day shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respectful and compassionate personal care, supporting Verity with daily routines.
  • Assist with PEG feeding and medication administration.
  • Deliver catheter care and maintain skin integrity through effective pressure care.
  • Provide respiratory support, including suctioning when required.
  • Support Verity in enjoying hobbies and social activities.
  • Communicate clearly and sensitively, ensuring Verity feelsологических understood.
  • Assist with moving and handling, including safe use of hoisting equipment (full training provided).
About Verity

Verity is a vibrant individual in her mid‑40s who lives independently with the support of a dedicated team of Support Workers. She has an acquiredbog brain injury and is registered blind; she communicates through body language and facial expressions, requiring the team to interpret cues. Verity enjoys social activities such as quizzes, watching TV, films, cinema, theatre, shopping, and plans for special occasions. She loves going out to the cinema, theatre, and shopping, and has her own wheelchair‑accessible vehicle for outings.
