Overview

The Priory Ogilvie Court is looking to recruit a Female Nights Support Worker to join their team. This is a full time, permanent contract.

Shift and Pay

• Full Time, 37.5 hrs p/week (3 shifts every week including alternating weekends)
• Shift Times: 20:00 – 08:30
• Salary: £13.20 p/hour
• Must be able to drive to site as no public transport links nearby / do not align with shifts

Location and Service

Ogilvie Court is located in Earls Colne, near Colchester. It offers residential support for 25 people with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, and other associated needs. We can also support people who are on the autism spectrum and those who have physical disabilities. We are in a rural location, surrounded by lovely views and countryside. Our team is dedicated to providing the people we care for with the skills needed for them to live a healthier and happier life back in the community.

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team committed to residents’ wellbeing. As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, undertake routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day-to-day activities, while encouraging independent living. You’ll help people reach their potential through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference in their lives.

• Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care
• Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
• Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals
• Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
• Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
• Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams
• Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth
