Job description

Print Designer 1 year fixed-term contract

As a Print Designer at Sosandar you will be a key support across all printed product departments working closely with Fashion Designers and the Buying team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with the Senior Print Designer to make sure prints are sent out in line with the Critical Path
• Creating original commercial Print Designs in a wide range of styles that our customer will love.
• Being experienced in creating precise factory‑ready repeat prints and spec sheets including Pantones that are clear for suppliers to follow
• Being aware of the Critical Path and when prints need to be sent to different suppliers
• Having a great eye for print and colour, continuously researching current and future print trends and feeding insights to the design and buying teams
• Co‑working with the Senior Print Designer on trend print research, recolours of best sellers, and new artworks that feed into company trends
• Building a strong knowledge of the Sosandar customer to source newness/design inspiration in line with our brand identity
• Fully understanding how prints are currently performing, analysing history, best‑seller data, and current trade to stay up to date with print strategy for key departments
• Working with Buying teams to manage strike‑off and production approvals, providing comments to suppliers on print quality and colour
• Maintaining good supplier relationships daily and ensuring prints meet the highest standards
• Being enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to help the product teams with print needs

What we want from you:

• Experience and success working at a Print Designer level for other women’swear fashion brands
• A strong print portfolio demonstrating commercial print designs across styles from Florals to Animals to Geometrics
• Experience designing prints as part of a women’swear product team
• A degree in Textiles, Fashion, or a similar field
• Excellent CAD skills, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator for creating factory‑ready print designs and spec sheets
• Excellent knowledge of trends from catwalk to high street with an instinct for emerging trends
• Open‑minded, receptive to feedback, and able to take print alterations required by the team
• A passion for fast‑paced, high‑pressure work, embracing change and continually improving the Design Team’s function and collaboration
• Highly organised, capable of managing multiple deadlines
