Family Support Worker – Disabled Children’s Team in Chessington, UK

Earn £20.84 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Family Support Worker to join our Disabled Children’s Team in Chessington for a locum position lasting 3 months. This is an exciting opportunity where you will work full-time, initially spending 5 days a week in the office during the first 2-week induction period, before transitioning to 3 days per week in the office. You will have the unique chance to make a significant impact on families with a variety of needs.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with children who have a wide range of disabilities and are accessing tailored support packages
  • Regularly review the needs of each child and their family to ensure the support continues to meet their requirements
  • Drive progress within each child’s plan by liaising with their professional network
  • Coordinate and chair Team around the Child meetings and participate in Education and Health meetings as required
  • Collaborate with various professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each child’s care
  • Assist families in accessing services and support, providing guidance and advocacy as needed
