Job summary

A legal recruitment agency is seeking a Family Solicitor with over 3 years of PQE to manage a range of family and childcare law cases. This role offers excellent support with potential progression to Head of Department. Responsibilities include managing divorce and financial remedies, as well as representing clients in hearings. Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ PQE in family/childcare law is required.
  • Experience in managing or generating your own caseload is desirable.

  • Manage various family and childcare law matters including care proceedings.
  • Cover divorce and financial remedies, private law children disputes.
  • Handle applications for domestic abuse and occupation orders.

Family Solicitor/ 3+ PQE / West Yorkshire / £70,000 (DOE) / This role offers the potential to progress to Head of Department, with excellent support and career development opportunities - Job Ref: 2131

Responsibilities
  • You will manage a broad range of family and childcare law matters, including care proceedings and PLO cases, private law children disputes, and applications for domestic abuse, non‑molestation, and occupation orders.
  • Your work will also cover divorce and financial remedies, as well as wider family law issues such as disputes involving unmarried couples and cohabitation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Applications are open to candidates with 3+ years’ PQE in family/childcare law who are confident working independently or as part of a team, with strong advocacy skills and the ability to represent clients in hearings.
  • Experience in managing or generating your own caseload (a following desirable), knowledge of legal aid alongside private work, and ambition to achieve panel accreditation and future leadership are also valued.
