Job description

To design, deliver and evaluate a range of early-intervention and family-support projects that work directly with children, young people and families across the Glenbank area. The postholder will provide practical support in the Glenbank Playgroup and advocacy and developmental programmes with Youth in the Glenbank area.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver targeted programmes. For example, homework support, family wellbeing sessions, SEN group and support after schools.
  • Work directly with families to assess need through case assessment, observation and monitoring.
  • Provide one-to-one support for families experiencing challenges relating to behaviour, communication, school engagement, or social/emotional development.
  • Design and deliver training sessions and workshops for youth service users.
  • Work in partnership with local schools, youth providers, statutory agencies and community partners to ensure a coordinated approach.
  • Identify emerging issues within families and implement early-intervention responses.
  • Contribute to evaluation, data collection, impact reporting and programme review.
  • Research best practice in family intervention, education, early years and safeguarding.
  • Support the development of funding applications relevant to family-support services.
  • Attend regular supervision, team meetings and relevant training opportunities.
  • Ensure safeguarding, protection, confidentiality and GDPR policies are adhered to at all times.
  • Comply with Glenbank Community Association’s Health & Safety Policy and all statutory requirements.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties within the competence of the postholder to meet service needs.

  • Ensure good standards of health & hygiene and safe working practices.
  • Follow manual-handling guidelines where required.
  • Maintain all records appropriately and securely.
  • Carry out additional duties reasonably requested to meet service needs.
