A local government council in Barry is seeking a Families First Advice Line Advisor to provide support and guidance to families. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families, possess 5 GCSEs grades C and above, and demonstrate high motivation. This temporary role involves working in line with Families First guidance and requires an Enhanced DBS check.

The Families First Advice line offers advice, support and guidance for families and professionals in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The team offers a personal service aimed at listening to the needs of each family. By working with parents, carers and professionals the team supports individuals to resolve their concerns independently or identify other services that can offer support.
Pay Details: Grade 6: SCP - 14 - 19 (£29,540-£32,061) p.a.
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 37 hours
Main Place of Work: Barry Community Enterprise Centre/Home
Temporary Reason: Families First grant funded until March 2028 - continuation of the post past March 2028 is subject to Welsh Government funding.
Description: To provide advice and guidance to families/carers, initially by telephone, in line with the Families First guidance, relevant national standards and local and national legislation and guidance.
