Job Summary

A 12‑month fixed‑term Band 7 physiotherapist role at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. Develop and lead outpatient and MDT clinics and community‑based intervention groups for falls patients, enhancing pathways and outcomes across Warwickshire.

Main Duties
  • Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of falls assessment and group intervention services.
  • Provide high‑standard physiotherapy to falls patients, incorporating best practice and NICE guidance.
  • Co‑ordinate with community, acute and MSK teams, and other service providers to create a comprehensive assessment and intervention pathway.
  • Supervise, support and provide specialist advice to junior staff and undergraduate students.
  • Contribute to out‑of‑hours and weekend working as required.
Person Specification – Qualifications
  • Diploma / degree in physiotherapy, state registration (HPC).
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio, including recent postgraduate courses in falls and frailty physiotherapy.
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (desirable).
  • Relevant validated clinical courses and leadership training (desirable).
Person Specification – Experience
  • Extensive postgraduate experience, including Band 6 level work in a variety of specialities.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, audit and research, and quality improvement.
  • Evidence of supervising students or less experienced staff and providing clinical education.

  • Autonomous practitioner, specialist knowledge of falls and frailty, and evidence of sound clinical reasoning.
  • Excellent written, verbal and non‑verbal communication skills, and IT competence (Word, Email).
