Responsibilities

  • Operate factory equipment safely and efficiently following company procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, including PPE usage.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in your work area.
  • Learn and support processes such as machine setting, start-up, shutdown, and basic adjustments.
  • Produce goods using techniques like Hot Bonding and RF/HF Welding.
  • Inspect materials and products, reporting faults to the Factory Manager.
  • Accurately record data on production sheets and logs.
  • Follow technical drawings and ensure correct components are used.
  • Assist with quality checks and final inspections.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Skills

Experience in a packing or production environment

🕒 Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday: 8:00am-2:30pm

NextGen, on behalf of our valued client, is currently recruiting for a Factory Operative to join a thriving and forward‑thinking manufacturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and a desire to develop new skills in a production environment.

About the Role

As a Factory Operative, you'll be at the heart of the production process, supporting a variety of factory operations and machinery, including hot bonding and RF/HF welding. You'll follow detailed procedures and specifications to ensure products meet the highest quality standards, while playing a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

You'll be trained to understand technical drawings, machine settings, and production run data—gaining hands‑on experience and broadening your skills across different production areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate factory equipment safely and efficiently following company procedures
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, including PPE usage

Who We're Looking For
  • Experience in a packing or production environment (preferred)
  • Exposure to operating machinery or tooling
  • Self‑motivated, reliable, and well‑organised
  • Able to follow procedures and prioritise workloads
  • Strong communication skills in English – verbal and written
  • IT literate, ideally with experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • Team player with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Comfortable working in a hands‑on manufacturing setting
Working Hours
  • Monday-Thursday: 8:00am-5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am-2:30pm
  • Breaks: 50 minutes per day (2x 10 mins, 1x 30 mins)
  • Overtime: Available when required
