Job Title: Facilities Manager
Location: Avonside School, Bristol BS4 5PS
Salary: £35,000.00 per (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Full Time | 52 weeks
Start: December 2025

Our New Acorn School, Avonside School in Bristol, has a capacity for 72 pupils and opened August 2025. The school is a co‑educational provision for pupils with complex needs including SEMH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the facilities team
  • Ensure that the facilities provided are of a high standard at all times
  • Coordinate the capital and operational expenditure
  • Monitor and audit schedules of work and the quality of completed projects
  • Ensure cost effective contracts are in place
  • Prioritise planned and responsive workload
  • Manage and be part of the on call/out of hours response team
  • Support with Health and Safety, food hygiene, fire management and building‑related technical matters
