Job Specification – Facilities Electrician

Job Title: Facilities Electrician
Location: Belfast
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Reporting to: Site Lead
Probationary Period: 13 Weeks

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Electrician to join our team in Belfast. This is a multi-site role providing essential support across client sites, including breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance, and remedial works. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and compliance of electrical systems across over 3 million square feet of factory floor space.

Responsibilities

• Attend to electrical breakdowns promptly and efficiently across multiple client sites.
• Carry out EICR remedials, emergency lighting remedials, and other compliance-related tasks.
• Perform installation, testing, and certification of electrical systems to a high standard.
• Undertake high bay, low bay, internal, and external lighting repairs.
• Use a PDA for task management and reporting.
• Manage own workload to meet response time requirements and deadlines.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment, complying with all policies and procedures.
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities and delivering high-quality service.

Essential Criteria

• City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

Desired Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as an electrician, with expertise in breakdowns, installations, and remedial works.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and safety standards.
• Full clean driving licence.
• IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and customer care skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently.
