Fabrication Inspector

Doncaster / Worksop – Permanent - £38.5K plus plenty of O/T - Monday to Friday 39 hours

Our client is keen to strengthen their fabrication team with an inspector. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a university graduate or an experienced quality inspector, a position could be made for both.

Responsibilities
  • First off to final release inspection of fabricated metal components, materials, welds, dimensions and finishes, to ensure all components meet agreed standards and customers’ requirements and are in line with the drawings and codes.
  • Identify and record non-conformances and oversee resolutions, ensuring all documentation is generated and updated accurately and efficiently.
  • You will assist with customer visits and carry out inspection visits to sub suppliers.
  • Calibration and verification of all related equipment.
Key skills and experience
  • It is essential that applicants are able to read engineering drawings, specification etc.
  • Accurately use measuring equipment – Tape measures etc. and Microsoft Office.
  • You must have experience with QC of structural fabrications during all aspects of production and be familiar with ISO 9001.
  • As well as being confident with maths, you will have a UK recognised driving licence and excellent communication skills.
  • Although not essential, candidates with PCN/CSWIP Visual and PCN/CSWIP MT qualifications will be prioritised.

  • Pay rate: £19.00 p/h + overtime
  • Overtime 1: Saturday x 1.5 time
  • Overtime 2: Sunday Double time
  • Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 6am-2:30pm & Friday 6am-1pm (39 hour week with plenty of overtime available)
  • Holidays: 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
