Fabrication Assistant

Swindon – Salary depends on experience

Responsibilities
  • Operate hand and power tools to cut, shape, weld, and assemble metal components.
  • Work with both mild and stainless-steel pipework, as well as structural steelwork.
  • Prepare materials by cutting, drilling, and cleaning before fabrication.
  • Support the fabrication team in producing metal parts and assemblies.
  • Apply protective coatings to finished components as required.
  • Ensure all fabricated parts are protected during transport and installation to prevent damage.
Ideal Candidate
  • Basic mathematical skills for taking accurate measurements and performing simple calculations.
  • Experience or familiarity with working on mild/stainless steel and structural steelwork is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction, and improve skills on the job.
  • A valid full UK driving licence is required (due to travel to our Worminghall Factory location).
Working Hours & Benefits
  • Monday – Thursday, 07:30 – 17:00
  • Friday, 07:30 – 16:00
  • 45 minute unpaid break
  • 15 minute paid break
