Role: Multi Skilled Building Fabric Engineer
  • Work as part of the Graham Facilities Management Team, playing a key role in planning and completing a range of works, primarily focusing on fire door systems assets and fire compartmentation, as directed by the Graham Helpdesk.
  • Perform a variety of tasks mainly related to joinery, but also including tiling, drainage, minor roof repairs, finishes, plastering, flooring, and other minor building fabric repairs based on relevant experience.
  • Provide exceptional maintenance services to high-profile clients, ensuring high-quality standards in all aspects of work.
  • Use your initiative to solve technical problems related to reactive maintenance, including sourcing parts and manufacturer support.
  • Document works carried out thoroughly to keep clients informed.
  • Complete all tasks within agreed timescales, adhering to regulations and contract specifications.
  • Follow reporting and recording procedures, including logs and risk control measures.
  • Utilize PDAs or electronic devices for work completion.
  • Coordinate with the Helpdesk for efficient response to work requests, working independently or as part of a team.
  • Maintain high health and safety standards, conducting risk assessments for each task.
  • Interact professionally with clients daily, representing the company courteously.
  • Be available for call-out responses across all contracts.

About You
Essential Criteria
  • A relevant trade qualification at C&G or NVQ Level 2 or 3.
  • Fire door qualification (FDIS or equivalent).
  • At least 3 years' experience in building maintenance, especially reactive and remedial work.
  • Broad knowledge of building systems related to reactive tasks, including fabric, carpentry, wet trades, plumbing, and groundworks.
  • Full UK Drivers License.
Desirable Criteria
  • Fire Door Inspection certification.
  • Experience with SFG20 and fire compartmentation.
  • Health and safety qualifications (IOSH, CSCS, etc.).
  • IT skills, including use of PDAs.
  • Asbestos awareness training (UKATA).
  • H&S qualification (CSR/CSCS).
