Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct emergency lighting and fire alarm tests.
  • Perform painting and decorating tasks.
  • Handle basic carpentry and plumbing.
  • Assist the maintenance team on site.
  • Maintain and update log books.

Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider - Law Firm – Liverpool Street, London - up to £36,000 per annum

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in London Bridge, London. CBW is currently recruiting a Fabric Engineer to be based in a commercial office space located near Liverpool Street, London. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of most general fabric trades such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting etc. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £36,000, overtime and further training. You will be working as a part of a small team looking after 17 tenanted floors of a law firm.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Emergency lighting tests & Fire alarm tests
  • Painting & Decorating
  • Basic lighting
  • Basic Carpentry and plumbing
  • Fixing Furniture
  • Hanging Pictures & Shelves
  • Maintain and update Log books
  • Assist the maintenance team on site
  • Escort sub-contractors
  • To undertake basic “Fabric duties” which would include touching up paintwork, tightening hinges, install/repair blinds, changing locks , making minor repairs to cabinets, desks, and putting together small equipment like chairs etc.
Working hours & package
  • Up to £36,000
  • Monday to Friday - 08:00 am - 17:00 pm
  • 25 days holiday + Bank holidays
  • Overtime available

Requirements
  • Knowledge of commercial building maintenance
  • An understanding of most building fabric duties (Plumbing, Painting, Carpentry, Basic Electrical, etc)
  • A desire to get into maintenance.
  • Good communication skills
  • Health & Safety experience
  • Basic PC literacy, (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, smartphone use)
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Self-motivation with the ability to manage tight time constraints and prioritise workload
