Salary: £33,000 £45,000

A welcoming and dynamic primary school in Hemel Hempstead is seeking a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join their Early Years team from September. Known for its warm, community-focused ethos, the school is committed to excellence in early childhood education.

Overview

As the EYFS Teacher, you will create a safe, inspiring environment where children feel confident and motivated to explore. You ll develop creative, hands-on activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum that promote the social, emotional, and cognitive development of every child.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based lessons in line with the EYFS framework

  • Observe and assess children s progress and support their individual milestones

  • Foster a classroom culture that encourages independence, exploration, and kindness

  • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, parents, and staff to support each child s development

  • Maintain open and positive communication with families

  • Participate in school initiatives, enrichment programs, and professional development

Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), with Early Years specialism preferred

  • Experience working in EYFS or nursery settings

  • Strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS statutory framework

  • Creative, energetic, and patient approach to teaching

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service) or willingness to apply
