  • A valid Enhanced Child-Only DBS or willingness to apply.

EYFS Learning Support Assistant
Full Time January 2026 Start Islington 5 Days per Week

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a committed and enthusiastic EYFS Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and supportive primary school in Islington from January 2026. This is a full-time position supporting children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Support children across the EYFS in their learning and development
  • Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning
  • Work closely with class teachers to implement the EYFS curriculum
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing learning environment
  • Provide individual or small-group support as needed
  • Contribute to assessments, observations, and planning
  • Support with routines such as outdoor learning, circle time, and continuous provision
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of experience working within an EYFS setting
  • A strong understanding of EYFS development and early learning
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach
  • Ability to work well within a team and follow teacher direction
  • A valid Enhanced Child-Only DBS (or willingness to apply)
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a genuine passion for Early Years education
