EYFS Class Teacher

Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover
Dates: April 2026 - April 2027
Location: Croydon

A well-regarded primary school in South Croydon is looking to appoint a full-time EYFS Class Teacher to join them on a temporary basis, covering a 1 year maternity cover contract. This would be a long-term contract through Tradewind whereby you would have full teaching, planning and marking responsibilities whilst being paid to scale on a weekly structure.

The headteacher is particularly keen to appoint a teacher with at least 2 years primary teaching experience which must include teaching EYFS, ideally a MPS1 - MPS6 Teacher, who can contribute positively to the school's warm, child-centred environment during this temporary contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take full teaching responsibility for a Reception class within EYFS
  • Foster a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress, development, attainment, and personal and social needs
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire young learners
  • Display a capacity and willingness to work effectively, with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Show support for colleagues.
  • Demonstrate a patient and caring nature with the ability to manage time pressures and keep things in perspective.
